In the not-so-distant future, after a world-changing apocalyptic event, the few humans who survived made the hermit scavenging units. These are mechanical beings who resist harsh environments, and whose sole purpose is to look for supplies and survivors. They run on solar power, the only abundant thing left in this version of the earth.
