Martian Toys 4 Year Anniversary

Welcome the our new website.

Today marks the 4 year anniversary since we launched MartianToys.com Launched on a Sunday, February 1st, 2015 with zero fanfare… somehow our first sale happened nearly straight away to a total stranger around the world in Isreal! Customer 001 bought a Knucklebear sofubi by Japanese designer Touma. Boom! We were in business!  David and I were just a couple of toy collectors who wanted to apply our business experience in IT and Marketing / Advertising to one of our passions. Collecting toys!

    Fours years and tens of thousands of orders, 40 plus shows, dozens of conventions, and various production toys later, we are proud to say we love what we do and hopefully agree we have made the designer toy world a more interesting place… There’s been rough patches and mistakes to be sure. Victories and setbacks… Launching a retail gallery in a city we didn’t live in, producing toys in China and Mexico, working with resin casters, painting specialists, traditional and digital sculptors, gallery artists, plush designers and curating some of the largest group toy shows in the history of the world have all had their moments of anxiety and sleepless nights. You can only improve if you push past your comfort zone. Balancing optimism with caution, passion with humility and collaboration with determination we hope to continue to grow and serve our customers and the artists and designers of this very special art world.
